My friend Chukwuma lacks nothing and his family was
*His father was one of the most powerful men of our community. Last month was his 20th birthday and the celebration his parents hosted for him came with a brand new car.
That means that we're now the big boys in towns. I was his best friend so the idea of him going out without me never crossed my mind, it can't even happen.
Since that birthday, I had never slept at home. He would come to our house and wake me up and we would go out immediately but we would not come home till the next morning, sometimes we stay more than two days.
He was like my chauffeur and there was never any place he refused to take me to. He drove me to our church on Sundays even when we both have different* religion belief. With time I learnt how to drive a car from him. Sometimes I would carry his car and go to anywhere I want.
He would even take my siblings to school on daily basis. Infact he made it in such a way that his parents believed that i have bewitched him. They started harassing me and prevented me from coming to their house.
They even prevented Chukwuma from visiting me. When he disobeyed his parents and started coming to my house as usual his parents took his car away from him.
When I heard about that I was so heartbroken and I promised him that I would be his driver one day. I promised him that I would carry him one day while he will enjoy the comfort of the day. I told him I would have a car soon and he* patiently waited.
The day came so sudden than I expected and I was now carrying my friend while he relaxed and enjoyed the comfort.
*He is now lying down on the back seat of the car with his eyes closed, with some pieces of cotton wool stuffed inside his nose while I suffered with tears and drove him in my hearse.
Now I finally carried him in my car as a hearse driver while he layed in his coffin.
