في ملعب الاستاد الرياضي في مدينة شبين الكوم، التابعة لمحافظة المنوفية شمال العاصمة المصرية القاهرة، قرّر الشاب علي منير قبل 7 سنوات وهو في عمر السادسة عشر، بدء ممارسة رياضة الجمباز وتمارين اللياقة البدنية بمفرده، دون الالتحاق بأي ناد أو مركز رياضي.
